On the afternoon of the 13 June 2024, Israeli forces conducted a military raid in the town of Qabatiya, near Jenin in the northern occupied West Bank. Israeli troops surrounded and besieged a house in Qabatiya, and a gunfight broke out between Israeli forces and Palestinians inside the building.

According to the Israeli military, the operation targeted individuals described as “wanted suspects” or “militants.” Palestinian sources reported that three Palestinians were killed during the raid. Two were killed inside the besieged house, and one was killed elsewhere during the operation.

During the raid, Israeli forces reportedly used heavy firepower against the house, including live ammunition, rubber-coated metal bullets, stun grenades, and tear gas, under the pretext that they had been shot at and stoned. The forces also bombed the house with “Energa” shells while it was besieged.

Palestinian reports further allege post-mortem mistreatment of the bodies, including handling involving a bulldozer.

The Israeli army described the operation as a counter-terrorism / pre-emptive arrest operation.

2. Muhammad Asri Fayyad, from Jenin camp

3. Muhammad Jaber Al-Shalabi, from Jenin camp

In addition, one other person was injured during the operation.
