"Rahaf is 13 years old. Both her parents are dead - Israel murdered her dad and her mum died of cancer (its worth remembering Israel demolished the only dedicated cancer hospital in Gaza). So now Rahaf is responsible for bringing up her younger brother & sisters." - Source
Thirteen-year-old Palestinian Rahaf Yousef Badr has found herself caring for her younger siblings after losing both of her parents during the Israeli genocide in Gaza.
Rahaf’s family was displaced from northern Gaza to the south, where her mother was diagnosed with breast cancer and later passed away. In the same month, her father was killed in an Israeli occupation strike on their home in the north, and his body could not be recovered due to ongoing Israeli airstrikes in the area.
Rahaf now lives in a tent in northern Gaza, taking on the responsibility of looking after her four siblings amid the ongoing humanitarian crisis.
