Khan al-Ahmar is a Palestinian Bedouin village in the occupied West Bank. Between Jerusalem and Jericho, Near the Israeli settlements of Ma’ale Adumim and Kfar Adumim, along Route 1, the main road linking Jerusalem to the Jordan Valley. It is located in Area C of the West Bank (under full Israeli military and administrative control). The village is internationally known because of repeated Israeli plans to demolish it and forcibly transfer its residents, which the UN and many human rights organizations consider a violation of international law.
