Deadly raid in Awarta and Einabus

On December 30, 2025, Israeli forces raided Awarta and Einabus, south of Nablus. They opened fire on a vehicle traveling between the towns of Einabus and Awarta, south of Nablus. Video documentation showed the vehicle catching fire and overturning after its occupants were struck by bullets. The Palestinian Red Crescent Society initially reported three serious injuries and later confirmed that two of the wounded were transferred to Rafidia Hospital, each suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Medical teams were initially prevented from reaching a fourth injured person, whose condition was critical. The incident ultimately resulted in one Palestinian killed and four others injured.

The Israeli army claimed that the Palestinian who was killed, Qais Sami Jasser Allan (20), attempted to run over soldiers in the Einabus area, emphasizing that no Israeli soldiers were injured. The Palestinian General Authority of Civil Affairs confirmed that its teams in Nablus Governorate are coordinating the receipt of Allan’s body.

In a related incident on Tuesday evening, another Palestinian was injured in Urif after Israeli forces fired a stun grenade during a raid that included a patrol through the village streets. Occupation forces also stormed Iraq Burin, conducting street patrols and provocative tours between citizens’ homes.

The killing of Allan and the injuries to civilians come amid escalating Israeli attacks in Nablus, particularly in southern villages, including live-fire raids targeting civilians and their vehicles. Wafa news agency reported that Israeli soldiers shot and killed Allan while he was inside his vehicle on the road connecting Einabus and Awarta, leaving four others wounded.

In a separate case, 17-year-old Mujahed Silwadi was injured during his arrest by Israeli forces. He sustained internal bleeding in the liver and spleen due to violent assault. Despite his critical condition, he was beaten again and left at the Awarta checkpoint.
