Settler Shimon Atiya shoves the landowner and the activists in Fateh Sadra

"3/4 שמעון כמובן לא פספס הזדמנות לדחוף את בעלי האדמות ואת הפעילים שאיתם, לעיני החיילים שכרגיל לא עשו דבר כנגד שמעון, אבל דאגו להמשיך ולאיים על המותקפים. https://x.com/masafering/status/1802663709598224518?t=G_eLXwKeDqKYgZ5NbA28Yg&s=19" - Source

Archivist Notes On This Video

"3/4 Shimon (Atiya), of course, did not miss the opportunity to shove the landowners and the activists accompanying them, in full view of the soldiers, who, as usual, did nothing against Shimon but made sure to continue threatening those being attacked."

Event Notes

Settler attacks on the Fateh Sadra community (Masafer)

Khirbet Fateh Sidra (often spelled Fateh Sadra or Fateh Sidro) is a small Palestinian Bedouin agricultural and herding community located in the Masafer Yatta region, south of Hebron in the occupied West Bank.

Residents and shepherds in the Fateh Sidra community frequently experience intense harassment and violence from nearby illegal Israeli outposts and settlements (such as Carmiel and Havat Maon). Documented incidents include physical assaults on Palestinian shepherds (including children), the deployment of pepper spray against locals, and the intentional destruction or grazing of agricultural crops by settlers' livestock to squeeze Palestinians off their ancestral lands.

Masafer Yatta was designated by the Israeli military as "Firing Zone 918", the civilian population—including those surrounding Fateh Sidra—faces ongoing threats of home demolitions, strict movement restrictions, and forced displacemen

"Three days of destruction in the “Fatah Sidro” community, near the village of Zuwaidin, by settlers from the outpost of Shimon Atiya, known as “Havat Shorashim.” Three days within an ongoing period of suffocation of the community, dispossession of its land, violence and destruction, since the outpost was established—and with particular intensity over the past eight months.

Saturday: Settlers arrive at a tent on the edge of the community, where an elderly man lived until October, when living there became too dangerous and he moved to the city. They destroy the tent (which had already been destroyed twice before). They go to a nearby house, from which residents also fled in October, and smash the toilet structure. A neighbor calls the police, and when they arrive, the settlers flee.

Sunday: The same group of settlers returns. They uproot an iron fence from the field and steal its parts. The settlers trample on the olive trees and bend them until they break. One settler amuses himself by throwing stones at a shepherd and his sheep.

Monday: The settlers return to the house whose toilet they destroyed on Saturday. This time they destroy the entire house—causing destruction inside, knocking down the stone walls, and destroying the structures of the tabun. Such destruction takes hours. Throughout the entire time, a community resident repeatedly calls the police. The police arrive after four hours, offer to take a complaint at the station, and leave.

On all the days described, and almost every day since October, the settlers have also brought their flock into the community’s olive trees, feeding the sheep on private Palestinian property. Almost nothing remains of the trees. The rest of the community’s land, used for grazing, has been completely blocked off. If a Palestinian goes there with his flock, he is violently driven away.

A resident of Fatah Sidro said: “Since Shimon’s outpost was established, I have been through everything: they beat me and my young children, stole my property, I have seen them block the path to Palestinians, I was falsely arrested and held in harsh conditions, handcuffed for most of the day. But the thing that is impossible to overcome is the theft of the land…

“…When you are beaten, you can overcome it. But when I have nowhere to graze my sheep, and I have to feed them expensive, purchased food, and there are no olives because the olive trees have been destroyed, I make no income. And if I make no income, I don’t even have money to feed my children.” "
