Day of massacres across the Gaza Strip (Day 825)

On January 2026, Israeli army attacked different parts of the Gaza Strip in the so-called Green Zone or Safe Zone, West of the Yellow line. Violations of the ceasefire included airstrikes, artillery shelling, drone attacks, and shooting from military vehicles. This brutal ceasefire violation seems concerted in order to prevent the second step of the ongoing ceasefire.

Israeli forces often claim they are targeting militants or military infrastructure, such as barracks in Al-Zaytoun / Ashqoula, intelligence areas near Hamad Hospital, ... In practice, these attacks often hit residential areas and shelters for displaced civilians, contributing to high civilian casualties.

8. Saleh Abdullah Al-Qassas

He was martyred after being injured as a result of a Quadcopter drone dropping a bomb in the Sheikh Nasser area, southeast of the city of Khan Younis, south of the Gaza Strip, where he was transferred to Nasser Medical Complex before his martyrdom was announced.

Specialized crews recovered the bodies of two martyrs from the Al-Nahhal family from under the rubble of their previously destroyed house, in the Beach Camp, west of Gaza City, after search efforts that lasted for hours amid the rubble.

Israeli aircraft targeted a house for the Al-Majdalawi family in the Block C area of the Nuseirat camp, nearby Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Mosque, 31.449394, 34.393898.

Al-Zaytoun

4 killed (names not specified)

Israeli aircraft bombed a barracks and a house in the Ashqoula area in the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood, southeast of Gaza City, resulting in the death of four citizens and the injury of others.

Other incidents

Airstrikes targeted Al-Mashtal Hotel, Khalifa School in Beit Lahia, but individual names are not given.

Injuries reported at Kuwait Junction (Gaza City) and Nasser Medical Complex, but victims unnamed.

Uncertain death toll

The Palestinian Ministry of Health stated, in the statistical report on the number of martyrs and wounded of the military aggression on the Gaza Strip, on Friday January 9, that a number of victims are still under the rubble and on the roads, as a result of the inability of ambulance and civil defense crews to reach them until this moment.

"In response to the failed launch carried out from the Gaza City area towards the State of Israel: The IDF and Shin Bet eliminated terrorists and attacked infrastructure in the Gaza Strip. Yesterday, the IDF and Shin Bet attacked and killed terrorists from the Hamas terrorist organization and other terrorist organizations in the south and north of the Gaza Strip, in response to the failed launch that was fired this morning from the Gaza City area towards the territory of the State of Israel. It can now be confirmed that among the terrorists eliminated: Kamal Abdel Rahman Muhammad Awad - head of the anti-tank division of the Hamas terrorist organization. The terrorist promoted terrorist plots against IDF forces during and before the war. Ahmed Thabet - Head of a workshop for the Hamas terrorist organization that was a significant center of knowledge for the production of weapons used to fire at Israeli territory. Likewise, yesterday, the IDF attacked Ahmed Abd al-Fatah Saeed Magdalawi, a Nuhibah terrorist in the Nusirat Battalion who raided the Nuwa party in the murderous massacre on October 7. The results of the attack are under investigation. In another attack in the northern Gaza Strip, the IDF attacked and eliminated four terrorists operating in a command and control compound of the Hamas terrorist organization. The compound was used by the organization's terrorists to store weapons and promote terrorist plots against IDF forces and the State of Israel throughout the war. The terrorists who were attacked in the compound were planning to carry out a terrorist plot against IDF forces operating in the northern Gaza Strip in the immediate future. In addition, terrorist infrastructure was attacked, including eight launch shafts of the Hamas terrorist organization, two sites used to produce weapons, and three weapons depots. The elimination of the terrorists constitutes a significant damage to the capabilities of the Hamas terrorist organization and the terrorist organizations in the Gaza Strip to carry out terrorist plots against IDF forces and citizens of the State of Israel.
